The Rafto Prize Committee

The Committee consists of activists, academics, professionals working in the public and private sector and a student representative. The Committee Members work without remuneration, and constitute an independent and self-recruiting body within the framework of the Rafto Foundation.

The duties of the committee are to evaluate and nominate candidates for the Rafto Prize, and present these for the Board of Directors.

Make a nomination for the annual Rafto Prize

Each year we award a person or an organisation who struggle for human rights and democracy. We encourage everyone with an interest in or knowledge of human rights to make a nomination for the Rafto Prize. Annual deadline is 1 February.
