Providing laureates with assistance and thematic programmes for women’s rights, business and human rights and free speech against hate speech.
The department is responsible for the short and long term follow-up of Rafto laureates and the thematic programmes in the Rafto Foundation.
Laureates assistance is decided by the needs and wishes of the laureates themselves, and varies from facilitating advocacy to direct personal assistance when needed.
As part of following up on laureates, the Rafto Foundation also promotes the issues highlighted by the Rafto Prize and support the cause through advocacy and information work.
The thematic programmes focus on three main areas: Women’s rights, Business and human rights and Free speech to overcome hate speech. These programmes are run in cooperation with Rafto laureates and other partners.
We provide the laureates with direct and indirect support through the organising and funding of activities ranging from lobbying, public events, project financing to various campaignsMore
