Friday afternoon at 1:30 PM he participated in NRK's live broadcast to talk about the situation in Palestine.

The occasion was that today, Friday, April 5, is the International Day of Solidarity for Palestinian Children."

Solidarity with children in Palestine

Last year's Rafto Prize recipient, Defense for Children International - Palestine (DCIP), now plays a more important role than ever.

After the International Court of Justice (ICJ) established that there is a real risk of genocide against Palestinians, all states have a responsibility to prevent this from happening.

Together with DCIP, the Rafto Foundation urges governments worldwide to:

1. An immediate and permanent ceasefire;

2. End military funding and weapons support to Israel;

3. Release all child prisoners and detainees and end the practice of child arrest and detention;

4. Fund UNRWA and ensure safe and unrestricted humanitarian access to and within the Gaza Strip, including access to medical care outside of Gaza;

5. End the Israeli military occupation of Palestine.
